A scalar field is a 2 dimensional array of values, which can be used for various different purposes such as lighting, heating, and water depth. Ideal for systemic games built in unity, there are pluggable components that can be combined to create dynamic objects in the world such as torches, exploding bombs, ice-wands, etc.
